WHATS GOING ON  !

Many changes are happening at City farm and one of them is to create a vibrant market place.

This is some of what is going to happen in the markets;

• Revitalise the market space to attract new growers who are either in organic conversion or those who farm ethically and sustainably. This will include growers who are spray free and conventional and who  farm ethically and sustainably. Each stall will have clear signage stating the growers farming methods.
• Move the markets outside creating a connection with the café and nursery for an inviting market atmosphere. Under extreme weather conditions we will trade in the market space.
• Run workshops for adults and children Cooking and Gardening, creating a hands-on experience for the community in the garden and with the animals.
• Create inviting environments for children whilst the parents shop, relax in the café or do a workshop. A sandpit is underway. A children’s mini farm and children’s circus workshops.
• Employ people to help us achieve all this.

Perth  City  Farm  Grower’s  Market

Organic & Biodynamic stall holders

Perth City Farm is proud to be in its 4th year of holding the Organic Growers Market. We are unique to Perth and the whole of  Western Australia as we are the ONLY Market that has certified Organic & Biodynamic stall holders. Our focus is to support local organic & biodynamic growers by making their outstanding produce available to the Perth community – in doing so, we are reducing our carbon footprint by lowering food miles and supporting sustainable farming practices.

We also have other growers who are either in organic conversion or those who farm ethically and sustainably. This will include growers who are spray free and conventional but who farm ethically and sustainably

As well as our customers having the benefit of buying grower direct, Perth City Farm provides an organic retail market stall to supplement what is not available from our farmers. This is sourced from certified wholesalers of Organic and Biodynamic produce for the convenience of  “one stop” shopping for our customers.

So come and visit our market and our Cafe. Freshly Roasted Ruba Organic Coffee and Organic foods prepared daily.  Take a stroll through the lovely permaculture gardens where you can check out our aquaponics system, the nursery, the animals and art.
