🌱 Help Shape the Future of Perth City Farm 🌱

Perth City Farm is seeking to appoint 1-2 new Board Members to help shape the future of one of Perth’s most loved community organisations.

For more than 30 years, Perth City Farm has been connecting people with sustainability, urban agriculture, lifelong learning and community in the heart of East Perth. As we continue to grow our impact, we are looking for passionate and values-aligned people to help guide the organisation’s future.

Our activities are based at a fantastic location in East Perth that hosts biointensive gardens, where we grow produce for local sale and use in our on-site cafe, a community recycling hub, event spaces for groups of up to 400, and host a regular farmers market.

The Board provides governance and strategic leadership to the Perth City Farm organisation. Our Board Members bring a range and depth of experience to support our purpose, values, strategy and long-term sustainability.

To complement our existing Board, we’re looking for people who bring experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Risk management & compliance
  • Human resource management
  • Legal and regulatory understanding
  • Sustainability and environmental stewardship
  • Revenue generation, partnerships & fundraising

If you can contribute meaningfully in any of these areas, we’d love to hear from you.

In addition to the technical skills indicated above, we are also seeking individuals that share a passion for the purposes and values that make Perth City Farm unique, including kindness, positivity and creativity.

We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive and skills-based Board and strongly encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, including:

  • Younger professionals
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • People with lived experience and perspectives that reflect the communities we serve

This is an opportunity to contribute to one of Perth’s most loved community organisations and help shape its next chapter. Board members should ideally be based in Perth, Western Australia.

Please note that this is a voluntary position that is not renumerated.

If you’re interested, or would like to learn more, please express your interest via email to Perth City Farm Chair on [email protected] by Friday 7th August.
