FAQs We have plenty of helpful information to help you plan your event. Don't hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions!

To keep costs low, we hire venue space as a blank canvas. This means you have complete freedom to BYO or select your own suppliers for any items needed for your event, and you can even self-cater for your crowd. That being said, we have a small selection of 'add on' items that you might like to include in your hire; including furniture, crockery, glassware, and limited AV items.

As standard, we offer 25% off our hire fees for registered non-for-profits and charities. However, we can extend discounts or discuss potential partnership arrangements to groups looking for a regular venue, or those planning events that align similarly to the mission of Perth City Farm; building community connections, and educating and enabling people to live sustainably.

We have 12x trestle tables and 50x plastic chairs available for hire for groups of up to 50. Additionally, we have a 'budget-friendly' set of enamel tableware for 50x people and an urn available for hire, but you will need to organise the tea & coffee items. For events with a slightly larger budget, we have glassware and porcelain crockery available, as well as padded office chairs for 20x people. If you're hosting a cocktail style event for a small group, we have a rustic furniture package available to hire that would suit a group of 40-50 guests. If any items are hired from PCF; you are responsible for the set-up, cleaning, and pack down of everything (we unfortunately don't have events staff to assist with this).

Our on-site cafe Farmology, are able to provide catering options as simple as 'Tea & coffee with snacks' or as extravagant as a three-course meal. You can chat to them about options for your budget, or you can engage any other caterer. If you have hired the Barn or Community Room, you have access to a commercial kitchen. In regards to furniture and set up, we would point you in the direction of companies like Hire King, Cockburn Party Hire, Crackajack Hire and Black Label Events. These suppliers know our venues well and have a large range of items & equipment suitable for all types of events.

Your 35% deposit is non-refundable regardless of the circumstances of your cancellation. If you cancel 60 days or more prior to your event, we will retain only the deposit. If you cancel less than 60 days prior, we retain the whole hire fee.

We have 2 commercial kitchens for hire to aid you with food preparation, but all food business licenses and liquor licenses must be organised by you. If you are simply bringing and distributing food & alcohol to your private guests (who did not purchase entry tickets), you do not need a license.

We ask you to respect our site and leave it tidy – but our mandatory cleaning fee for the barn and art room covers sweeping, mopping and a surface clean of the kitchen. Any rubbish must be removed, and glass cleaned up. Your cleaning fee includes the use of 1x 240L general waste bin and 1x 240L recycling bin. You are required to sort your waste correctly and leave all outdoor areas clean and tidy. ***If you are hosting an event as simple as a group meeting or yoga session, cleaning may not be required - please speak to us about options to clean yourself.

We have 2 ladies, 2 men and 1 disabled toilet available, and the whole site is wheelchair-friendly with ramps leading into the barn and kitchen.

On the weekend, we may not have any staff on-site during your event – but you will be given the contact details of our cleaners, security and an emergency contact number. You may be responsible to disarm and arm the alarm systems for your hire space, and you will have the key you need.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere indoors – but if requested you may borrow our designated smoking sign for your event. We do NOT encourage smoking, but if you must, you can place this sign somewhere suitable outdoors and ensure all butts go into the requested bins.

There is a City of Perth carpark out the front (but it gets pricey and extremely busy during business hours!) we recommend catching the Yellow Cat or train to Claisebrook Station as they stop right next to Perth City Farm!

If you've read our FAQs above and it sounds like PCF could be the venue for you, please fill out this enquiry form and we will endeavour to be in touch within 48 hours.

If you're not set on a specific date, please give us a rough idea so we can send through availability and pricing options that may suit. Unfortunately we are not always able to assist over the phone, so this is the best method!
