Storytime with Grandma Rosie
July 10 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am AWST
July school holiday special Storytime!
On 10th July the storytime will be expanded so older children can join in too. The full session will run 9.30am – 11.30am and we’ll roughly split into groups for ages 0-5 and 6-11. All activities will be in the farm area of our site so you can be nearby if you have children in both groups. Parent or guardian must stay during the sessions and maintain responsibility for your child/ren.
The sessions will include stories, chook visits, singing, gardening activities and a morning tea.
Attendance is by donation as you register, suggesting a minimum of $5 per child to support Perth City Farm and acknowledge the big contribution of the volunteers running this. Please register via the ticketing link here and use the second ticket option ($5 donation) for the July 10th session.
Join Grandma Rosie on the second Wednesday of every month for Storytime under our beautiful trees and experience the magic of Perth City Farm. Each week Rosie will read a story, share her wisdom and we’ll go on an adventure together; to meet the chickens, smell some herbs & flowers or explore this beautiful oasis.
These sessions are best suited children under 5 and a caregiver must be in attendance at all times. Registrations are essential (via the Humanitix platform) as space is limited. Follow the ‘Buy tickets’ link below to sign up.
Grandma Rosie was one of the founding members of this beautiful place called Perth City Farm. For 28 years Rosie has been working her magic to create this beautiful haven in the middle of a bustling city.
At Perth City Farm, we are kind to each other, ourselves and the Earth. We welcome and include all; inviting visitors to pause and reconnect with themselves, others, nature and spirit.
– GETTING HERE –
Although there is paid City of Perth parking around the area, it can get very busy during standard working hours. The easiest way to get to Perth City Farm is via public transport. We are just down the steps from Claisebrook Train Station, and the Yellow CAT bus stops just out the front.
– FOOD & DRINK –
If you need something sweet to nibble on, or a coffee to get you through the hump day; our on-site ‘Farmology Cafe’ will be open on Wednesday mornings to keep you fed & watered. Remember to bring your keep cup! 🙂
